“Mansang” New Steel-Reinforced Concrete Bridge Blow up by Terrorists in Tedim Township of Chin State

     Terrorists groups are carrying out attacks by firing heavy and small weapons into towns and villages where innocent civilians, who are not military targets, reside, with the aim of destabilizing the country and disrupting its peace and stability. Additionally, they are attacking vehicles travelling on roads by using explosive devices, firing heavy and small arms at them and planting landmines to destroy roads and bridges.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 7 June 2026 at 4:30 AM, a terrorist group blew up the “Mansang” new steel-reinforced concrete bridge, which spans the Manipur River and connects Tedim Town and Rihkhawdar Town, between Lamzan Village and Lai Twee Village in Tedim Township of Chin State. As a result, the bases of two pillars at mid-river Pier Point P1 of the bridge were damaged. Pedestrians and motorcycles can still cross the bridge, while vehicles are using the nearby old bridge, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
