Myanmar Automated Cargo Clearance System (MACCS)

Service Requirements

Importer/Exporter Code (IE Code)

This code is essential to make import/export declaration in MACCS system. (The code include in total 13 digits with an initial letter C)

User Code

This code represents the company or organization as MACCS User.

User ID

User ID is to represent the employee who is working at the applied company or organization.

Password

Password is required for security purpose when user login to MACCS Terminal Software. Users can change the password.

Terminal ID

This ID should be keyed into ID computer that users are going to use so that MACCS System can recognize them.

Terminal Access Key

Terminal ID’s Access Key is the key to use the registered computer mentioned above (that Access key recognizes Terminal ID)

(1)Customs Broker

        (a)Commitment Letter with agency letterhead

        (b)Yellow Card (Original + Copy)

        (c)National Registration Card (NRC) (Original + Copy)

        (d)USB (4G) with free virus that includes application Form (UR-1) (Soft Copy)

(2) Importer/Exporter

        (a)Commitment Letter with company letterhead

        (b)National Registration Card (NRC) (Original + Copy)

        (c)IE Code (Original + Copy)

        (e)USB (4G) that includes application Form (UR-1) (Soft Copy) free from virus

(3) CMP Company

        (a)Commitment Letter with company letterhead

        (b)Applicant’s National Registration Card (Original + Copy)

        (c)IE Code (Original + Copy)

        (d)Membership of Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association or Myanmar Industries Association (Original + Copy)

        (e)USB (4G) that includes application Form (UR-1) (Soft Copy) free from virus

(4) Freight Forwarder

       (a)Commitment Letter with company letterhead

       (b)Applicant’s National Registration Card (Original + Copy)

       (c)MIFFA Membership (Original + Copy)

       (d)Permission for Airway Bill usage (Original + Copy)

       (e)Company Registration (Original + Copy)

       (f)Form VI, Form XXVI (Original + Copy)

       (g)USB (4G) that includes application Form (UR-1) (Soft Copy) free from virus

(5) Government, Embassies and NGOs

       (a)Commitment Letter (Recommendation from Head of Department)

       (b)Employee Card (Original + Copy)

       (c)White Card (Original + Copy)

       (d)USB (4G) that includes application Form (UR-1) (Soft Copy) free from virus

Note: Applicant can download UR Forms at www.maccs.gov.mm .

(b) Required Documents to get Importer/Exporter Code (IE) Code

(1) Companies that have Certificate of Importer/Exporter Registration is needed to present following documents to get I/E Code-

      (a)Company Letterhead (UR-3)

      (b)Company Related Documents (Company Registration, Form VI, Form XXVI, Certificate of Importer/Exporter Registration )

      (c)Company Information Form (UR-5)

      (d)National Registration Card or Passport or Yellow Card (Original + Copy)

(2) If the organization get Importer/Exporter Identification Number even if the organization does not have Certificate of Importer/Exporter Registration , then following documents are needed to get I/E Code –

      (a)Organization or Department’s Letterhead

      (b)License or Permit issued by Directorate of Trade (Original + Copy)

      (c)National Registration Card or Passport or Yellow Card (Original + Copy)

(3) For SEZ Companies, Embassies, UN Organizations, following documents are required to get I/E code –

      (a)Company or embassy or UN organization’s Letterhead (UR-3)

      (b)Request from (UR-2) (Soft Copy and Hard Copy with the signature of Authorized person)

      (c)Applicant’s National ID or Passport or Yellow Card (Original + Copy)

      (d)Letter of Approval for Investor (Form 2) issued by Thilawa Special Economic Zone Management Committee is needed for SEZ companies.

Steps to Apply

(a) Applicants must apply at User Registration Section, MACCS Division, with required documents for User Registration.

(b) Required Documents for User Registration Section will be verified and processed if there is a correct match.
