Two Children Injured, Township Education Commissioner’s Office Damaged in Heavy Weapon Attack by KIA Armed Insurgents and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Myitkyina Township of Kachin State

Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 16 July 2025 at 4:10 AM, a heavy weapon shell, fired by a combined group of KIA armed insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists exploded in Aye Yar Ward, Myitkyina Township of Kachin State. As a result, the Township Education Officer's Office located in the ward was severely damaged. Additionally, Ma Kyal Sin Lin Lae (16 years old) and Mg Soe Moe Htet (15 years old), both residents of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries. The injured children were transported to Myitkyina District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
