An Armed Insurgent Group and So-Called PDF Terrorists blew up an Electric Tower that Supply electricity from the Thautyekhet Hydroelectric Project to the Hninnoutpin power substation in Htantapin Township, causing Significant damage to the Tower’s Foundation


      An armed insurgent group and so-called PDF terrorists blew up an electric tower that supply electricity from the Thautyekhet Hydroelectric Project to the Hninnoutpin power substation in Htantapin Township, Bago Region, causing significant damage to the tower’s foundation.
      The incident happened that, on 16 April at 10:30 AM, a report indicated that Electric Tower No. T 25, which supplied electricity from Thautyekhet Hydroelectric Project to Hninnoutpin power substation and was installed in a forest east of Ywartharyar Village in Htantapin Township, Bago Region, tilted about 30 degrees. Upon inspection by security personnel and concerned officials, it was discovered that an armed insurgent group and so-called PDF terrorists had blown up the tower. As a result of the explosion, two of the tower's four brick foundation pillars to break off, tilt about 30 degrees to the south, and temporarily cut off the electricity transmission, it is reported. 
      It has been reported that concern persons and security personnel are repairing the damaged electric tower, and the security forces are investigating the terrorists who blew up an electric tower in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with laws and to maintain peace and stability in the region.
