KIA Members supporting Terrorism and PDF Terrorists Shell and Torch Houses in Villages, Katha Township

PDF Terrorists wantonly carry out improvised-mortar attacks and drone strikes on non-military targets of schools, government facilities, villages and residence buildings, claiming lives of innocent civilians including children. Further, they are launching roadside bomb attacks and improvised-mine attacks on public roads in order to be in a state of unrest.
· On 30 July, security personnel undertaking security task in the areas of Katha Township, Sagaing Region were fired with small arms and heavy weapons by KIA members supporting terrorism and PDF terrorists from the village and cemetry when the personnel were near Kyauk Htone Gyi village. The security personnel fired back to the terrorists and the latter fled to the south-western part of the village.
· The terrorists set fire to 25 houses in the village on their way of retreat so as not to chase and crush them. Moreover, they intend to misunderstand the security personnel as if the personnel burnt down the houses.
· On 5 August, KIA members supporting terrorism and PDF terrorists wantonly shelled the Moetarlay village from the location of 200 metre away to the north of the Myaynu village and Torch Houses in Villages, Katha Township. The shells hit U Kyaw San’s houses, injuring five innocent civilians including a 7-year-old child.
PDF terrorists are torching houses in villages when ther were on their way of retreat after the armed clashes with security personnel. Again, they are circulating fake news and propagandas via external destructive media as if security personnel are buring down the houses.
Security force members are undertaking necessary tasks to take harsh legal actions against the terrorists, and they are continuing required security tasks to ensure peace and stability in the areas, it is reported.
