Two Innocent Civilians Killed, Four Others Injured in Drone Bomb Attack by KNU Terrorists and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Kyauktaga Township of Bago Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 29 August 2025 at 8:50 PM, a combined group of KNU terrorists, along with so-called PDF terrorists conducted a drone attack by dropping bombs on Za Yat Khin Ywar Thit Village in Kyauktaga Township of Bago Region. One of the bombs exploded within the village. As a result, U Phoe Kyaw (aka) U Kyaw Zaw Htoo (51 years old) and Ma Kyi Kyi Khine (aka) Ma Kyi Ma (40 years old), both residents of the village, died on the spot. Additionally, four other villagers: Ma Yin Yin Khine (42 years old), Ma Ei Shwe Sin (19 years old), Daw Than Win (64 years old) and Ko Aung Zaw Oo (38 years old), sustained shrapnel injuries. All deceased and injured individuals were transported to Pal Nwe Kone Station Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
