A concrete creek bridge damaged after explosion of two improvised explosive devices planted by a combined group of KIA armed insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists in Myitkyina Township of Kachin State.


     Extremist terrorists are carrying out acts such as planting mines to destroy highways, bridges and railway lines, as well as extorting money from, setting fire to and destroying motor vehicles travelling on the roads and attacking with heavy and small arms. These actions are intended to disrupt the stability and peace of the nation and the rule of law, halt regional commodity flow and obstruct socio economic development.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, 8 September 2025 at 7:10 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred in Sitapu Ward, Myitkyina Township of Kachin State. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered that two improvised explosive devices had detonated on the “In Jan Kha” concrete creek bridge, which measures 15 feet in width and 12 feet in length, located along Duwa Zaw Rit Road (aka) Japan Road near the ward. The devices were planted by a combined group of KIA armed insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists. As a result of the explosion, approximately two square feet of the concrete approach slabs at the both ends of the bridge were damaged, it is reported.

     Authorities are currently working to expedite the repair of the bridge damaged in the aforementioned incident. Meanwhile, security personnel are continuing efforts to apprehend the terrorists responsible for the explosion, it is reported.
