Seven Years Old Boy Killed in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Launglon Township of Tanintharyi Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 23 July 2025 at 9:45 AM, while Mg Aung Thu Rain Phyo (seven years old), a resident of Maung Ma Kan Village in Launglon Township of Tanintharyi Region, was sitting in front of his house, a heavy weapon shell, fired by a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded nearby. As a result, the boy sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Dawei District Public Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, the boy succumbed to his injuries while receving medical treatment, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
