City Hall Damaged in Fixed-Wing Drone Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region

      Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.
      Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 27 May 2026 at 10:20 AM, so-called PDF terrorists conducted two fixed-wing drone attacks by dropping bombs within Kyauk Maw Ward in Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region. One of the bombs exploded on the roof of a city hall building in the ward. As a result, the explosion caused damage to the roof cover and ceiling of the building. Fortunately, no people were injured, it is reported.
      According to the above mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
