A man shot dead by a so-called PDF terrorist group in Gyobingauk Township of Bago Region.

In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 28 September 2025 at 12:40 PM, U Thet Khine (45 years old), a resident of Ah Lal Kone Village in Gyobingauk Township of Magway Region, was returning on his motorcycle from Gyobingauk Town along the Ah Lal Kone-Gyobin Sa Khan road. When he reached an area near Gyobin Sa Khan Village, two so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on him. As a result, U Thet Khine died on the spot. According to the report, security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation and counter-terrorism operations in the vicinity. During this operation, approximately seven so-called PDF terrorists, located about four furlongs southeast of Ah Lal Sein Gyi Yoe Village, opened fire using small arms. Security personnel members returned fire, forcing the terrorists to retreat. During the incident, one so-called PDF terrorist was shot dead and captured, along with one improvised firearm, it is reported.

Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
