Power Outage in Gangaw Township of Magway Region, Since 1 September 2025, After So-Called PDF Terrorist Group Sabotages 66 kV Power Line

     With the intends to disrupt state stability and law enforcement operations and to instill fear and panic among the civilian population. Terrorists are carrying out subversive activities such as destroying roads, bridges and electric power lines using explosives.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, from 1 September 2025, power lines in Gangaw Township of Magway Region, have been cut off. Upon investigation, security personnel discovered that a so-called PDF terrorist group had shot and destroyed sections of the 66 kV hyper tension cable located between Kaung Tone Village and Nyaung Lal Village, which connects Kyaw town to Gangaw town and supplies electricity to Gangaw Township. Restoration work is currently being carried out by responsible personnel, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
