In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are administrative officials who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 14 November 2025, at 4:00 PM, U Aung Win (57 years old), the Thar Zi Village Tract Administrator; U Ye Aung (47 years old), a member of the Thar Zi Village People’s Militia Unit, both residents of Thar Zi Village and U Aung Myaing (53 years old), a 100-household elder and sub-village in-charge, a resident of Zee Phyu Kwin Village in Kamma Township of Magway Region, were travelling by car from Oak Shik Pin Town in Pandaung Township of Bago Region to Thar Zi Village along the Pathein-Monywa road. When the vehicle reached the Pya Gyi-Kamma crossroads near Si Village in Kamma Township, a so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on the vehicle using small arms. As a result, U Aung Myaing died on the spot. Additionally, the terrorists set the vehicle on fire and abducted U Aung Win and U Ye Aung, it is reported.

Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
