Two Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Mortar Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Ngazun Township of Mandalay Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 May 2026 at 3:00 PM, so-called PDF terrorists fired improvised mortar shells into No.1 Ward in Ngazun Township of Mandalay Region. One of the bombs exploded within the compound of the Township Cooperatives Office in the ward. As a result, U Maung Naing (50 years old) and Mg Aung Kaung Myat (5 years old), who were residing in the compound, sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Ngazun Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     According to the above mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
