Civil Servant Abducted by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Taungtha Township of  Mandalay Region

     Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities including abducting and extorting money from local civilians, as well as killings.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 September 2025 at 5:30 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group stopped and inspected vehicles near the Kyauk Phu Village fork road along the Taungtha-Za Jan-Myingyan road in Taungtha Township of Mandalay Region. Afterward, the terrorists abducted at the Industrial Workshop Sub-Department of the Irrigation a Grade-4 machine operator U Than Tun Aung (43 years old) and Water Utilization Management Department (Nay Pyi Taw), who was travelling on a “Pyi Taw Aye” passenger vehicle from Nay Pyi Taw to Myingyan Town, it is reported.

     Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
