Terrorists set fire to No. (9) Basic Education High School in Pabedan Ward of Mawlamyine Town

On the morning of 25 October, terrorists set fire to No. (9) Basic Education High School in Pabedan Ward of Mawlamyine Town in Mon State, resulting in the destruction of a two-story teaching aid building and school furniture by fire, it is reported.
The incident happened that on 25 October at 03:40 AM, a report indicated that a fire had occurred at No. (9) Basic Education High School in Pabedan Ward of Mawlamyine Township of Mon State. The fire was caused by terrorists who set the school ablaze. A collaborative team, including security personnel and firefighters, along with ten fire extinguishing vehicles and ten water carrier vehicles, rushed to the school and worked together to extinguish the fire which was put out by 07:30 AM. As a result of the fire, a two-story teaching aid building and school furniture were destroyed, it is reported.
Security personnel are doing required investigations to find and apprehend the terrorists who set fire to the school with the aim of depriving children’s rights to education, it is reported.
