Monk Abducted Along with Monastery Property and Vehicle by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Ywarngan Township of Southern Shan State

    Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities-including abducting and extorting money from local civilians, as well as killings.
    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 1 July 2025 at 2:00 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group arrived at Ta Pin Pyaw Village in Ywarngan Township of Southern Shan State. The terrorists abducted an abbot named Vaddanda Pyin Nyar Thar Mi (60 years old) and in his 22 years of monkhood, from a monastery in the village. Additionally, the terrorists took a CCTV  mother unit  installed at the monastery, a donation box containing offerings money and a vehicle owned by the monastery, it is reported.
    Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
