In States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 22 August at 10:00 AM, U Tin Htway, 64 years old and Ko Min, 41 years old who lived in Zayatkhin Ywarhaung Village of Kyauktaga Township in Bago Region, were working in a field near the Village, when a bomb dropped by KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists using a drone exploded nearby. As a result, U Tin Htway was dead from open fracture injuries on his left and right hand and leg, while Ko Min sustained crushed injuries to his right wrist and bomb shrapnel injuries on the back of his head and right arm. He was receiving medical treatment at the Penwekone Circuit Hospital, it is reported.
Similarly, at 08:00 PM, armed insurgents supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists launched a reckless attack by dropping two bombs using a drone on the Myawady District Public Hospital located in No. (4) Ward of Myawady Town in Kayin State. The bombs landed and exploded on the old mortuary building and four-room attached toilet building. As a result of the explosions, the zinc roofs of these two buildings were damaged. Fortunately, there were no injuries to people, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against so-called PDF terrorists who attacked with drop bombs using a drone on the hospital compound, which is a non-military target, aiming to cause injuries and causalities of innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
