A PDF Terrorist Guns down Singer-cum-Actress Daw Lily Naing Kyaw living in Yankin Township

On 30 May, a male PDF terrorist gunned down singer-cum-actress Daw Lily Naing Soe (aka) Lily Naing Kyaw of 58, who lives in No.2 Ward of Yankin Township in Thingangyun district of Yangon Region and fled from the spot. Since Daw Lily Naing Kyaw got serious bullet wound in her right temple during the incident, she is undergoing medical treatment at the military hospital in Mingaladon Township.

Terrorists are committing motiveless crimes against Buddhist monks, civil servants and innocent civilians who do not support their acts of violence at all. Such inhumane shooting of innocent female civilian, who is peacefully doing fine arts, was a kind of coward behavior of the terrorists by accusing the victim of unsupported action to

them.

           Statement of Young Men’s Buddhist Association (Central), Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Group (Central), All Myanmar Hindu Central Council, All Myanmar Tamil Hindu Foundation (HQ), All Myanmar Islamic Organization, Pinnaygone Yakhine Jaame Mosque, Myanmar Press Council, Myanmar Music Association (Central), Myanmar Artists Organization (Central), Myanmar Comedians’ Association, Myanmar Theatrical Association (Central), Myanmar Writers Association, United Parahita Association and Buthidaung Maungtaw Regional Development Association made public statements in which they strongly condemned the terrorists for their inhumane shooting of unarmed innocent female civilian to serious wounds. Measures will be taken as early as possible to identify and arrest the terrorist and those who ordered him to gun down the victim, it is reported.
