An Innocent Civilian Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 18 December 2024 at 3:00 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead near the Mon Kyaung Monastery in Dawei Zay Ward, Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims was U Min Naing (50 years old), a resident of Ywar Htaung Ward in Sagaing Township. The investigation revealed that while the victim was riding his motorcycle from his house to Dawei Zay Ward, four so-called PDF terrorists, who had been waiting for him, opened fire near the monastery. As a result, the victim died on the spot. Additionally, the terrorists took his motorcycle, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killing and assassination of innocent civilian in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
