Armed Terrorists Wantonly Kill Administrative Officials, Government Employees and Civilians who live peacefully in Myingyan and Hpakant Townships

Armed terrorists, based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, are committing violent attacks and assassinations by using knives, guns, grenades, homemade mines and IEDs against non-CDM staff after forcibly pressuring civil service personnel who are loyal to the State to join CDM as well as others who do not support their terrorist acts after accusing them of “Spy/ Informer/ Dalan” to make administrative officials, government employees and civilians who live peacefully, very frightened.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 March at 09:50 AM, according to the report indicated that two men and a woman were killed by gunfire between Kyeepinkan Village and Duwon Village in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. The investigation found that U Kyaw Htay, 65 years old, (Father) U Onn Khin, and his wife Daw Sein Aye, 65 years old, (Father) U Kywat Thoe, and his brother-in-law U Zaw Nyunt 45 years old, (Father) U Kywat Thoe, who lived in eastern adjacent side of U Kyaw Htay’s house, who all lived in Kyeepinkan Village, were inside their respective houses when five members of the so-called PDF terrorist group entered the Village on three motorcycles. The terrorists arrested them and killed them with guns when they arrived at the scene. Three people, including U Kyaw Htay, were dead from their gunfire injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 02:00 PM, according to the information indicated that a man were dead by gunshot in Mawone Ward of Hpakant Township, Kachin State, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. The investigation found that Immigration Supervisor U Myint Lwin, 55 years old, (Father) U Myo Myint, who lived in staff housing of the Immigration Department of this Ward, was in his house when four male terrorists (under scrutiny) arrived on two motorcycles. The terrorists shot him with gun and immediately fled the scene. As a result, U Myit Lwin was dead from gunfire injuries, it is reported.
Security Force Members are continuing necessary actions to identify and arrest those terrorists who committed wantonly killings and assassinations against administrative officials, government employees and civilians who live peacefully in the abovementioned cases based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, it is reported.
