Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing Inspects Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit (Hmawbi)

The Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Moe Aung, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Yangon Command Commander and officials, inspected the Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit in Hmawbi Station on 9 June.

First, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and party heard reports on the broadcasting services of Myawady TV and Thazin FM presented by the officials from the Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit (Hmawbi) at the meeting hall of the unit.

After hearing the reports, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services stressed the need to broadcast true

First, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and party heard reports on the broadcasting services of Myawady TV and Thazin FM presented by the officials from the Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit (Hmawbi) at the meeting hall of the unit.

After hearing the reports, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services stressed the need to broadcast true daily news, breaking news, and internal and external news that the people should know in a timely manner and to air programs that will draw the public attention and educative programs for all in broadcasting the TV and radio programmes, and gave necessary guidance.

Then, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services delivered a speech at the meeting with officers, other ranks and staff serving at the Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit (Hmawbi) as follows:

· As the TV broadcasting is public relations, all must run it as a beneficial business that produces good results.

· Region-wise stationed troops and local people as well as soldiers in the frontlines need to catch up radio programs.

· The goal of the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare is “To inform, To entertain, To educate and To organize”.

· Tatmadaw members and staff serving the information duty for the people have to correctly understand the political changes in the country.

· They need to specially take care of broadcasting actual educative programmes to the audience people.

· As history is valuable, keeping records of equipment systematically is necessary.

· As those currently serving at the unit are shaping the present era, if they successfully serve their duties, they can leave good historical events.

Afterwards, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services presented cash awards for Tatmadaw members and staff serving at the unit through the Commandant of the Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit (Hmawbi).

Later, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and party    viewed the use of the OB Van (Outdoor Broadcasting Van) and the Uplink Vehicle and gave necessary guidance to officials. They then viewed round the operations of preparatory, broadcasting, editing and satellite rooms of the unit where the officials counducted round them. After hearing reports from officials, the Senior General gave instructions on the maintenance and functioning of the worksites in parts.
