Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing Receives Delegation led by Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of Chinese Ministry

A delegation led by Mr. Deng Xijun, Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, who attended the Eighth Anniversary of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), made a courtesy call on Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at the office of the SAC Chairman on 15 October.
·Both sides cordially exchanged views on firm support of China for peace process of Myanmar without accepting acts of disintegrating the State while the Government and the Tatmadaw are striving for restoration of internal peace by firmly standing on the path of NCA.
·Both sides cordially exchanged views on Myanmar’s emphasis to be placed on stability of the region sharing border with China and development measures and the actions of some ethnic armed organizations which have not signed firm and legal accords like NCA in initiating the peace process but have implemented agreements and pledges only.
The government urges them to walk on the firm and legal path of NCA in order to forge the durable peace and the Tatmadaw makes endeavours to firmly
·stand for the way for multiparty democracy.
·Plans to cooperate with each other between the two countries in combatting online gambling and online scam, further promotion of cooperation between the two countries, and progress to accept displaced persons in Rakhine State.
Together with the Senior General, the meeting was also attended by the Council members and officials. The Chinese Special Envoy for Asia Affairs was accompanied by officials from the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar.
