Civil Servant and Child Injured After Stepping on Improvised Explosive Devices Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Madaya and Phalan Townships

A child injured in an improvised explosive device explosion planted  by so-called PDF terrorists in Madaya Township.


     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 25 February 2026 at 12:45 PM, a report stated that a child with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Madaya Township Public Hospital in Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Mg Wunna (nine years old), a resident of Ta Ngar Village in Madaya Township. According to the investigation, at 11:50 AM, on the same day, the boy was playing near his house, an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 7:20 PM, on the same day, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Hakha Township Public Hospital in Chin State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Lar Lyan Kyone (31 years old), a general worker from No. 2 Basic Education High School and Taung Phe Lar Ward in Kale Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, at 9:00 AM, on the same day, while the victim was traveling by motorcycle along the Phalan-Kale road, the motorcycle triggered an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists near Mon Li Village in Phalan Township, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
