Civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians were shot and killed by so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 19 April, 2024 at 11:00 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire near Pyinsi Village, Natogyi Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that a 100-household elder, U Maung Soe (55 years old), who lived in the village, was in a field next to the Myingyan-Yaewun Road near the village when two so-called PDF terrorists arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire on him. As a result, U Maung Soe died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 11:15 AM, a report stated that a man was injured by gunfire in Wardatkwin Village, Kyaikto Township, Mon State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Aung Zaw Oo (56 years old), who lives in the village, was in a tea shop when two so-called PDF terrorists arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire before fleeing. As a result, U Aung Zaw Oo sustained gunshot injuries and was transported to Theinzayet Circuit Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 4:30 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire near Kanni Village, Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Thein Htay (50 years old), who lived in Semikhon Village, Myingyan Township, was travelling in a Hiace vehicle (License Plate No. 2F/XXXX) along with his son-in-law, Ko Thu Min Oo (35 years old) from Mandalay City to Semikhon Village via the Semikhon-Nabuaei Road. When their vehicle was approximately one mile east of Kanni Village, five so-called PDF terrorists who had been waiting by the roadside, opened fire. As a result, U Thein Htay died from gunshot injuries, while Ko Tun Min Oo was not injured, it is reported.
Similarly, at 6:15 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire near an electrical substation in Dahatkone Village, Pyawbwe Township. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Thein Htike (36 years old), an electrical expert (Grade-4) at the substation and his wife, Ma San San Oo (41 years old), who both live in the staff housing at the substation, were returning home on a motorcycle from Pyawbwe Town via the Yintaw-Dahatkone-Kanpyar Village Road. As they neared the substation, a so-called PDF terrorist who had followed them on a motorcycle, opened fire on U Thein Htike. As a result, U Thein Htike sustained gunshot injuries and was transported to Yintaw Circuit Hospital for medical treatment. However, he died from his injuries while being transported to the Hospital, it is reported.
Similarly, at 7:35 PM, a report stated that two men were killed and another two were injured by gunfire in Tawpyar Village, Nyaung-U Township. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that the Village Administrator, U Tie Kyaw (56 years old), along with U Thein Naing (40 years old), U Nyunt Hla (69 years old) and U Thant Zin (44 years old), who all live in the village, were having a conversation near a water pump in the village, when two so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result, U Tie Kyaw and U Thein Naing died from gunshot injuries, while U Nyunt Hla and U Thant Zin sustained injuries and were transported to Nyaung-U District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases, it is reported.
