Culprits who Committed Robbery in front of Sein Kyaw Moe Gold Refining and Pure Gold Trading Shop in Chan Aye Thazan Township Arrested within 24 Hours

A robbery occurred around 17:15 hour in front "Sein Kyaw Moe gold refining and pure gold trading" shop located between 31st and 32nd street in Aung Nan Yeiktha (west) ward, Chanayethazan township of Mandalay city on 27 March. In the incident, while two staff of the shop were loading the cash K150 million to the Hijet car to send the cash to Sein Tharaphu gold refinery, three unknown men (under investigation) arrived with a vehicle and robbed of K120 million after firing pistol two shots in the air. When a combined force tracked down the vehicle used by the perpetrators of the robbery, it was found within hours with two other accomplices: Tun Soe and Kyaw Tin Oo (aka) Nga Pain in the yard located at 51st Rd, 135th x 136th St in Pyigyitagon township.
According to the confessions of the arrested perpetrators and interrogation results –
· Security force members arrested offender San Win in Chanmyathazi township, offender Tin Soe (aka) Rakhine along with robbed money K23.5 million in Pyigyitagon township and moreover, one Sigsauer pistol, one Glock pistol, one revolver, 43 rounds of 9mm bullet, K60 million robbed money, 2280 grams of light-yellow-coloured powder (appar -ently to be heroin) and 180,000 stimulant tablets inscribed with WY letters in the house of offender Kyaw Naing (to be arrested) in Danon village of Amarapura township.
According to the confessions of the arrested offenders, they were found to have committed a murder and three robberies as follows –
· On 25 February 2022, five offenders: Tin Soe (aka) Rakhine, Tin Soe, Kyaw Tin Oo (aka) Nga Pain, Tamaung (to be arrested) and Kyaw Naing (to be arrested) led by offender San Win robbed a house of Daw Khin Latt in Nyaung Pin Gone village of Amarapura township. During the robbery, police lieutenant Win Min Thant, younger brother of Daw Khin Latt arrived at the scene and attempted to arrest the perpetrators by wrestling them. However, offender San Win fired pistol three shots and killed the police officer, and they then took one gold-chain, three gold bracelets, four gold rings, cash K30 million from the house as well as the revolver belonging to the deceased police lieutenant Win Min Thant.
· They then sold the robbed goldwares for K8 million at "Sein Kyaw Moe gold refining and pure gold trading" shop in Chanayethazan township.
· On 12 March, offender San Win and offender Tamaung (to be arrested) went to Daw Taw Mont Tee Burmese noodle shop and also robbed the shop owner Daw Mar Lwin of her belongings: one gold-chain, one gold-bracelet, and one gold ring. Then, the two offenders again sold the robbed items for K4 million at "Sein Kyaw Moe gold refining and pure gold trading" shop.
· In the evening of 27 March, offenders: San Win, Tin Soe (aka) Rakhine, Tamaung (to be arrested) and Kyaw Naing (to be arrested) holding arms went to "Sein Kyaw Moe gold refining and pure gold trading" shop and committed robbery.
· The perpetrators then hid the robbed money bags and three small arms used in the robbery at two separate locations: at house of Kyaw Naing (to be arrested) in Danon village of Myitnge township; and at the house of Tin Sone (aka) Rakhine.
· It was found out that the illicit drugs confiscated along with the perpetrators were sent for sale by Maung San (to be arrested) living in Laei village of Pekon township.
Measures will be taken to take harsh legal actions against the arrested perpetrators and also identify and arrest other perpetrators of the robbery at large as early as possible, it is reported.
