Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Wife of State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Attends 2023 Myanmar Women’s Day

Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister and Honorary Patron of Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation (MWAF), attended the 2023 Myanmar Women’s Day ceremony which was held at Myanmar International Convention Centre-II in Nay Pyi Taw on 3^rd July.

First, State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered an opening address by sending a video message to the ceremony. Then, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khine, Chairperson of the Myanmar National Committee on Women, explained plans for the development of women, promotion of women’s rights, and prevention of violence against women.

Afterwards, Honorary Patron of MWAF Daw Kyu Kyu Hla presented awards to Second Lieutenant Theint Nandar Aung from the Tatmadaw (Army), Lieutenant Khaing Khant Khant Kyaw from the Tatmadaw (Navy) and Lieutenant Le Wai Aung from the Tatmadaw (Air) who are outstanding ones in their related sectors. Then, Honorary Patron Daw Khin Thet Htay presented awards to Police Major Thuzar Lwin and Daw Khaing Mar Oo from the Red Cross Society while Daw Than Than Nwe to outstanding woman with disabilities Ma Chaw Su Hlaing and outstanding woman athlete Ma Sandi Oo.

Later, the SAC member Daw Dwe Bu presented award to Ma Nandar Kyi Phyu Lin, who achieved the top mark in 2022-2023 matriculation examination across the nation. Finally, the attendees posed for a documentary group photo and observed the products displayed at the event.

Also present were Honorary Patrons of the MWAF, the wife of SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, SAC members and wives, the wife of the Constitutional Tribunal Chairman, the Union Minister for Legal Affairs, the Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, in her capacity as the Chairperson of the Myanmar National Committee on Women, officials from MWAF and women’s organizations, award winners and distinguished guests, it is reported.
