Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San Joins 23rd International Environmental Forum

At the invitation of the St Petersburg Government of the Russian Federation, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San virtually joined “Baltic Sea Day” jointly organized with 23rd International Environmental Forum which was held in St Petersburg on 22 March, from the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the opening ceremony of the forum, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications discussed as follows:
· The needs of the environmental conservations, and the cooperation to implement the effective international convention for the prevention of water pollution.
· The preventive projects of Myanmar for the negative impacts of oil leaks on marine ecosystem and human society.
The Forum was attended by the heads of St Petersburg Government of the Russian Federation, officials from Ministry of Natural Resources and Conservation of Ecosystem, Ministry of International Cooperation, and Ministry of Transport, experts of related fields, scientists, researchers and delegations from China, Vietnam and Belarus altogether over 10,000 participants, and the Union Minister for Transport and Communications together with the relevant departmental heads.
