The Graduation and Taking Oath Ceremony of the Deputy Township Judges On-Job Training Course No. (34) was held at the Judicial College of the Supreme Court of the Union at 08:00 am this morning and the Union Chief Justice U Tha Htay attended and made the opening speech.
Then, among the teams of KinWun, Yaw, U May Aung and Dr. Ba Oo of the On-Job Training, the outstanding trainees were awarded by the Justices of the Supreme Court of the Union; and the best cadet, Daw Myo Moh Moh Zin (Katha-45), of the training was awarded by the Union Chief Justice U Tha Htay respectively. And, the Union Chief Justice gave the graduation certificates to one of the trainees of the Deputy Township Judges On-Job Training Course No. (34).
And then, under section 23 Sub-Section (c) (i) of the Union Judiciary Law, in accordance with the provision provided that the Supreme Court of the Union is to arrange for any new judges to take an oath or affirmation at the time of assigning duty, the recruited judicial officers took an oath in the presence of the Union Chief Justice and the Justices of the Supreme Court of the Union “we ourselves by declaring solemnly and sincerely that we will be upholding and abiding by the Constitution of the Union and the existing laws; and will be adjudicating the cases fairly and rightly in accordance with law by following the Code of Judicial Conduct and by abstaining from four kinds of prejudices while carrying out our judicial functions”.
The Ceremony was attended by the Union Chief Justice, Justices of the Supreme Court of the Union, Directors General, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Directors General, Assistant Secretary, Directors, Deputy Directors and the recruited Deputy Township Judges.
The training period was lasted for 3 months from 5-1-2026 to 3-4-2026 and 51 trainees attended it.
