In Certain Townships, Two Civil Servants Abducted by So-Called PDF Terrorists

    Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities including abducting and extorting money from civil servants, local civilians and also administrative officials, as well as killings.

    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on June 1 2026 at 3:30 PM, U Aung Kyaw Kyaw (52 years old), the manager from the Township Electricity Office in Magway Township of Magway Region, was travelling by car from Magway Town to Ma Gyi Kone Village along the Magway-Kan Pyar-Myothit-Natmauk Road. While the vehicle reached an area near Ma Gyi Kone Village, so-called PDF terrorists forced it to stop and abducted him, it is reported.

    Similarly, at 6:00 PM, on the same day, while Daw Khin Hnin Swe (50 years old), a second primary school from the Sub Basic Education High School (Khin Mon) and a resident of Khin Mon Village in Chaung-U Township of Sagaing Region, was at her house, seven so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycles and abducted her, it is reported.

    Regarding the above incidents, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
