In Certain Townships, Two Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by Terrorists

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses. PDF terrorists are recklessly carrying out landmine planting and bombings using explosives on public roads and bridges, with the aim of causing injuries to the public and destroying regional development.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 1 June 2026 at 7:35 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries had been admitted to Tanintharyi Township Public Hospital in Tanintharyi Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Hla Tun (49 years old), a resident of Chaung La Mu Village in Tanintharyi Township. According to the investigation, on 30 May 2026 at 4:30 PM, the victim was working in his orchard near the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 12:55 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries had been admitted to Naungcho Township Public Hospital in Shan State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Myo Htet Lwin (34 years old) and a resident of Zay Kone Village in Naungcho Township. According to the investigation, at 11:45 AM, on the same day, while the victim was working in a sugar cane plantation about two furlongs east of the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
