Innocent Civilian Injured After Triggering Explosive Device Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Pwintphyu Township of Magway Region

An innocent civilian injured after triggering an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group in Pwintphyu Township of Magway Region.


     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 August 2025 at 7:20 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Pwintphyu Township Public Hospital in Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Tin San Win (44 years old), a resident of Yae Poke Gyi Village in Pwintphyu Township. The incident occurred around 6:00 AM, on the same day, while the victim was cutting wood in a forest approximately three miles southwest of the village. He triggered an improvided explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group. The device exploded and causing his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
