Innocent Civilian Injured in Drone Bomb Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Htantabin Township of Bago Region

Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 8 May 2026 at 10:45 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Taungoo Township Public Hospital in Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Mg Kyaw Zin Thant (19 years old), a resident of Bwar A Su Village in Htantabin Township. According to the investigation, on 7 May 2026 at 12:00 PM, while the victim was near a jetty in Bwar A Su Village, a bomb dropped by a drone operated by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in his injuriess, it is reported.
According to the above mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
