Innocent Civilians Killed and Injured in Attacks by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Nyaung-U and Sinbaungwe Townships

An innocent civilian injured in an attack by so-called PDF terrorists in Nyaung-U Township of Mandalay Region.


     The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorists known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 19 March 2026 at 11:45 AM, a report stated that a woman injured by gunfire in No. 2 Ward, Nyaung-U Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene to conduct further investigation, it was found that at 11:40 AM, on the same day, while Daw May Kyawt Shin (38 years old), a resident of the ward, was at her pharmacy in the ward, two so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycle, and opened fire on her. As a result, Daw May Kyawt Shin sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to Nyaung-U District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 19 March 2026 at 8:30 PM, while U Naing Lin (45 years old), a resident of Eka Rik Village in Sinbaungwe Township of Magway Region, was at his house, four so-called PDF terrorists arriving by two motorcycles, and opened fire on him. As a result, U Naing Lin died on the spot, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
