Opening Ceremonies of Myanmar Traditional Thingyan Pavilions Held and People Splashing Water and Giving Feast Crowd the Pavilions in Regions, States, Regional Military Commands

At the occasion that is changing from 1384 ME to 1385 ME, opening ceremonies of Myanmar traditional Thingyan pandals were held in Regions, States, and regional military commands on 13 April as per Myanmar traditional culture. The events were attended by SAC members, Chief Ministers of Regions and States, commanders of regional military commands, senior military officers, officers, other ranks and their families, Thingyan choreographed dance groups, and guests.
Opening ceremonies of Thingyan pandals were held at the Myanmar traditional central pandals in Kengteng, Mandalay, Sittwe and Lashio cities. Further, the opening events were also held at Thingyan central pandals of military regional commands, collective water-throwing pandals and other pandals. SAC memebrs, Chief Ministers of Regions and States and commanders of regional military commands cut the ribbon in order to open the ceremonies. It is reported that people enjoyed Thingyan festival by watching choreographed group dances, giving feast in charity for comers and plashing water to mark opening ceremonies of Thingyan festival.
On the fourth day of Thingyan (Atat Day) (16 April), pavilions of water-splashing were crowded with people who splashed water and gave feast in Pwintbyu, Hopone, Ngaputaw, Pindaya, Kyaikto, Tharrawaddy, Kyaukpadaung, Mingala Taungnyunt townships. Similarly, pagodas were also crowded with pilgrims and those who kept the Sabbath.
Some people and organizations, with jealousy on Myanmar’s internal peace, do not want to see the crowd of Thingyan festival with people and made threats against and instigated the people not to join in Myanmar Traditional Thingyan festival. Again, terrorists mounted bomb attacks on Thingyan pavilions. However, the entire populace across the nation happily joined in the Myanmar Traditional Thingyan festival, it is reported.
