Phyo Zeyar Thaw (aka) Maung Kyaw (aka) Yaykhe, Kyaw Min Yu (aka) Jimmy get death sentences

THE military tribunal sentenced NLD member Phyo Zeyar Thaw (aka) Maung Kyaw (aka) Yaykhe and Kyaw Min Yu (aka) Jimmy to death under the Counter-terrorism Law Section 49(a), 50 (i) and 50 (j) yesterday.

Phyo Zeyar Thaw(aka) Maung Kyaw (aka) Yaykhe who lives in Yadana Hninsi Housing in Yadana street of No (61) Ward of Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township of Yangon Region, faced death penalty for keeping various arms and ammunition to provide terrorist groups at his two houses in Thingangyun Township. Moreover, he organized Zoom meeting with CRPH, NUG and PDF, which were declared terrorist groups with Order No 2/2021 of the Central Committee on Counter-Terrorism of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and their subordinate Moon Light Operation groups to stimulate to commit bomb attacks in Yangon, to provide weapons and order to kill the ones who do not support them, security members and administrative officials and also to launch bomb attacks on governmental buildings, public areas, religious buildings and schools.

He collected cash contribution from those who living abroad and bought arms and ammunition using these cash contributions to perpetrate terrorist attacks. He intentionally used all the funds or a few of funds which was received officially or illegally and provided to certain terrorists or terrorist groups by collecting directly breaking the law or accidentally.

Kyaw Min Yu (aka) Jimmy who lives in Thayatchan (1) street of Peinegon Ward of Insein Township of Yangon Region also kept arms and ammunition at the house in Myahninsi street of Pinlon Housing in No (27) Ward of Dagon Myothit (North) Township to provide CRPH, NUG and PDF, which were declared terrorist groups with Order No 2/2021 of the Central Committee on Counter-Terrorism of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. He held Zoom meeting with CRPH, NUG and PDF terrorists and their subordinates Moon Light Operation groups to launch bomb attacks and served as advisor to do so. He transferred money to Nway Oo Kant Kaw, subordinate of CRPH, NUG and PDF terrorist groups to purchase/create arms and ammunition. He cooperated with UMCD to ask for money at NUG to buy about $100million worth of 3D printer that can print firearms. He bought dollars and exchanged into Myanmar Kyats for many times to provide financial assistance to terrorist groups.

The military tribunal sentenced NLD member Phyo Zeyar Thaw (aka) Maung Kyaw (aka) Yaykhe and Kyaw Min Yu (aka) Jimmy to death under the Counter-Terrorism Law Section 49 (a), 50 (i) and 50 (j) yesterday.

Therefore, two suspects were sentenced to death by the military tribunal under the Martial Law.

It issued 23 crimes to be heard by the military tribunal in the townships placed under the Martial Law and effective actions will be taken by the military tribunal if those who commit one of these crimes. MNA
