Security Personnel Clear Seven Improvised Explosive Devices Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorists Along Roadside in Natogyi Township of Mandalay Region

So-called PDF terrorists are recklessly carrying out landmine attacks and bombings on public roads and bridges, using explosives devices with the aim of causing injuries to civilians and damaging infrastructure essential for regional development.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, 1 June 2026 at 6:00 AM, security personnel conducted landmine clearance operations along the Natogyi-Pyin Sar Road in Natogyi Township of Mandalay Region. During the operations, between Phat Phu Village and Shauk Taw Wa Village in Natogyi Township, security personnel discovered a total of seven improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted on both sides of the road by so-called PDF terrorists. The devices consisted of five PVC-pipe IEDs, each approximately six inches in diameter and one foot in length, one IED approximately 1.5 feet in length; and one iron-pipe IED, approximately one foot in diameter and 1.5 feet in length. All seven IEDs were successfully removed and cleared, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
