State Administration Council Information Team Leader Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun Makes Clarifications on the Current Situation in Myanmar

The State Administration Council (SAC) Information Team Leader Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun made clarifications on the current situation in the country on 6 and 7 December as follows;
· The State Administration Council conferred honorary titles and honorary medals on 147 personnel, including four Thura Tittle winners, who made excellent performance in serving State defence and security duties.
· SAC Chairman Prime Minister and wife met and comforted IDPs who have temporarily sheltered at Thiri Mingala Mansu Shan Monastery in Lashio. Next, they cordially met military personnel and family members undergoing medical treatment at military hospital in Lashio and then, fulfilled their requirements.
· The CBM will not set exchange rates for foreign currencies at the AD licensed banks and will let authorized banks decide foreign exchange rates depending on market rate.
· The CBM made an amendment to the previous regulation, allowing exporters to convert 35 percent of their earnings into kyats at the central bank's exchange rates instead of converting 50 percent.
· Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe met Wang Yi, Foreign Minister of People’s Republic of China and discussed matters pertaining to media cooperation to prevent fabricated false information that affects bilateral relations between the two countries in addition to the maintenance of peace and stability along the border areas.
· Subversive media outlets are creating a string of multiple fabrications to appear misunderstanding between Myanmar and China, and they are exercising China Containment Policy through taking opportunity of current situation in Myanmar.
· Armed clashes are breaking out in Namhkam, Tamoenye, Muse (105) mile border post and Laukkai areas of northern Shan State, at the state police force office in Loikaw of Kayah State, at the monastery in Kawkareik, in Hnone Buu of Rakhine State and in Tamu and Khanpat of Sagaing Region.
· KNPP and KNDF terrorists took civilians’ belongings by force in Loikaw market; positioned themselves in the vacant stalls and set fire on the market.
· Based on the current situation, subversive media outlets are creating and spreading rumors, fake news and distortion of the facts in every minute to make public panic and/or public fear and unstable socio-economic status of the people.
· NUG, PDF and so-called democratic nations abetting to acts of terrorism behind the scenes are carrying out the act of utter devastation across the nation.
· The Government and the Tatmadaw are giving top priority to eliminate acts of terrorists committed by terrorists/insurgents.
Since the national defence is the duty of every citizen, all citizens are required to safeguard our country in unity, it is reported.
