State Counsellor returns from Japan after attending emperor’s enthronement

State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi who attended the enthronement ceremony of the emperor of Japan held in Tokyo, left Japan on Air Nippon Airways for Yangon at local standard time 11:30 am yesterday.
The Myanmar delegation led by the State Counsellor was seen off at Narita Airport by Myanmar Ambassador to Japan U Myint Thu, Myanmar Military Attaché Colonel Tin Soe, officials from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Myanmar embassy and military attaché personnel and their family members.
The State Counsellor and party arrived back in Yangon at 4 pm and were welcomed by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein, Yangon mayor U Maung Maung Soe, Japanese Ambassador Mr Ichiro Maruyama and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Yangon International Airport.
