Terrorists Blow Up Mytel Cell Tower in Daik-U Township

Political extremist terrorists, who do not want the social development and stability of the country, have been carrying out terrorist acts by setting fire to and detonating both state-owned and privately-owned communication towers that were installed to facilitate telephone communication and information flow among the people.
On 22 February at approximately 05:45 PM, security personnel received information that terrorists had blasted Mytel Tower installed in the Field No (295-B) owned by Daw El Ni Than lives in Taung Thalel Myaung Village of Daik-U Township in Bago Region. Upon arrival at the scene, the security personnel discovered that two tower machines, eight zinc sheets, and an iron fence had been damaged due to a homemade mine explosion. Additionally, a homemade mine (measuring 11 feet in length, 6 feet in width, and 2 feet in height) which was connected to a battery, was found near the fence-pole on the northwest side of the Tower. It was reported that the mine had been deactivated.
According to reports, security force members are currently pursuing the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned incident of blasting the Mytel Tower, with the intention of arresting them and taking legal action.
