In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 13 April, 2024, at 11:05 AM, Ko Aung Ko Thin (24 years old) Thapinshwehtee Ward, Palnwekone Town, Kyauktaga Township, Bago Region, was walking home from Hteintaw Village. As he passed under a mango tree beside the Hteintaw Village roadside, he stepped on an explosive device planted by a group of KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists, causing it to detonate. As a result, Ko Aung Ko Thin sustained injuries from shrapnel and was transported to Palnwekone Circuit Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 2:05 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred in Taungthusu Ward, Kyaikto Township, Mon State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that two so-called PDF terrorists had ridden a motorcycle and thrown a grenade at the District General Administrative Department in the ward before fleeing. The grenade exploded near a trash can beneath the portico. As a result, there were no injuries or damage to people or buildings, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
