The Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, commissioner U Kyaw Myint inspects Orphanages

   The inspection team, led by Commissioner U Kyaw Myint from the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission (MNHRC), inspected Yellow Generation Wave (YGW) Orphanage in Pobbathiri Township on 7 November 2023 and Great Charity Youth Development Park (Sa Ma Taung) in Lewe Township on 8 November 2024 in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory.

   The inspection team inspected the Yellow Generation Wave (YGW) Orphanage and Great Charity Youth Development Park (Sa Ma Taung) in accordance with the MNHRC Law and procedures whether the children who in the Centers can get fundamental rights including adequate dormitories depend on gender, healthcare services, food supply, supporting of accessories, provision of purified drinking water, support programme for physical and mental development, as well as the right to education ‌and vocational trainings.

   MNHRC will send recommendations to the relevant department on the findings during the inspection.
