Two Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack on Village by Terrorist Insurgents

    Terrorist insurgents have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 22 July, 2024 at 1:15 PM, a terrorist group fired heavy weapons into Myay Ni Village, Yatsauk Township of Southern Shan State. The heavy weapon shells exploded within the village. As a result of these explosions, U Ko Lat (aka) Saw Win Naing (51 years old) and Ma Nan Naw Htoo (22 years old), both residents of the village, sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to a local military Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Due to the heinous acts of armed insurgents and terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are killed and injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
