Vice-Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win Visits Thingyan Pavilions (Water-Splashing Pandals) in Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory

Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Deputy Prime Minister Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, and party visited the following Maha Thingyan Pavilions respectively on 14 April, the Second Day of Maha Thingyan Festival (Akya Day), and 15 April, the Third Day of Festival (Akyat Day) of Myanmar Traditional New Year Festival:

· They visited Maha Thingyan Pavilion of the families of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) in Zeyathiri Township, Thingyan Pavilion of Nay Pyi Taw Command, Nay Pyi Taw Mayor’s Maha Thingyan Pavilion, and Thingyan Pavilion of the families of the Ministry of Home Affairs, respectively.

· Likewise, they also visited the Thingyan Pavilion of the families of Nay Pyi Taw Air Base, Myanmar Traditional Atar Thingyan Pavilion (Water-throwing Pandal) in Nay Pyi Taw Railway Station of Myanma Railway under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and Walking Thingyan. They then celebrated the Atar Thingyan Festival together with officers, other ranks and their family members happily and joyously. They also enjoyed the performances of renowned artistes, vocalists, and family Yein troupes, and presented honorary gifts and cash rewards to them.

The Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan, Sein Pan Pavilion and Magyiyeik Pavilion in the compound of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) are being crowded with those joyfully enjoying the water-throwing activities. Moreover, the family Yein dance troupes, artistes and vocalists performed the entertainments at the water-splashing pandals following the charity feast (Studitha) also served.

On 16 April, the Last Day of Festival (Atet Day), the SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and party attended the closing ceremonies 

of Maha Thingyan Pavilion of the families of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air), Sein Pan and Magyiyeik Pavilions, and Thingyan Pavilion of the families of the Ministry of Home Affairs. They then enjoyed the performances presented by famous artistes and vocalists, and family Thingyan Yein dance troupes, and the joyful celebrations of family members in the festival. Moreover, they participated in the water-throwing activities together with officers, other ranks and their families happily and joyfully, following the ceremonies successfully ended, it is reported.
