Child Injured After Stepping on Explosive Device Planted by So-called PDF Terrorist Faction in Kambalu Township of Sagaing Region

In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 10 May 2025 at 9:50 AM, a report stated that a child with shrapnel injuries was admitted to the 100-bedded Public Hospital in Kambalu Township of Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, they discovered that the victim was identified as Mg Moe Htet Myint (13 years old), a resident of Htan Kone Village, Kambalu Township. The incident occurred while he was heading to a forest located Htan Kone Village and Zee Pin Thar Village to collect firewood. Upon reaching an area approximately 300 meters east of Htan Pin Kone Village, he stepped on an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist faction. The device exploded, causing his injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
