Four Innocent Civilians, Including Child, Injured in Heavy Weapon Attacks by KIA Insurgents and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Shwebo and Hpakant Townships

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 4 March 2026 at 12:40 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township in Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Khin Khin Swe (54 years old), a resident of Late Chin Village in Shwebo Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, on 2 March 2026 at 2:00 PM, while the victim was at her house, a heavy weapon shell fired by a combined group of KIA insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 4 March 2026 at 1:45 PM, a heavy weapon shell fired by a combined group of KIA insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists exploded Myoma Ward in Hpakant Township of Kachin State. As a result, Daw Jar Phar (76 years old), Daw Jar Maing (aka) Daw Khin Myo Aye (28 years old) and Mg Khun Hla Aung (13 years old), all residents of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries. All injured individuals were transported to Hpakant Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
