Innocent Civilian Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosion Planted by KIA Insurgents and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Waingmaw Township of Kachin State

In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 4 March 2026 at 2:20 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Waingmaw Township Public Hospital in Kachin State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Kyaw Kyaw Naing (62 years old), a resident of Khat Cho Village in Waingmaw Township. According to the investigation, at 12:30 PM, on the same day, while the victim was working along the irrigation boundary west of the village, he triggered an improvised explosive device planted by a combined group of KIA insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
