Innocent Civilian Shot Dead by Terrorists in Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region

     The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorist groups known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing, and killing innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 31 May 2026 at 9:00 AM, a report stated that the body of a man with gunshot wounds had been brought to Sagaing Public Hospital in Aye Mya Waddy Ward in Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U San Oo (43 years old), a resident of Aung Chan Thar Village in Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, on 30 May 2026 at 8:30 PM, while the victim was at his house, five armed terrorists arrived and robbed him of five mobile phones, a watch, a laptop, assorted goldwares and MMK 1.7 million. Additionally, the terrorists abducted U San Oo and took him to an area along the Mandalay-Monywa railway track to the northeast of the village, where they opened fire on him. As a result, U San Oo died on the spot, it is reported.

     According to the above mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
