So-Called PDF Terrorists Rob Monastery Vehicle in Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region

    Armed terrorists are committing acts of violence in towns and villages across various regions and states. These acts include the arrest and extortion of civil servants and innocent civilians living peacefully, as well as the murder of these individuals. The groups also use weapons to threaten and rob people of their valuable possessions, including cars and motorcycles.

    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 6 January 2026 at 8:00 AM, a report stated that so-called PDF terrorists robbed of a vehicle from the “Mahar Min Htin” Monastery located near Kyauk Tar Village in Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region. Upon further investigation by security personnel, it was found that on 5 January 2026 at 11:30 PM, while a monk named Oattama (aka) Aung Lwin Moe (39 years old) with 19 years as monkhood and a novice named Zawtika Parla of the monastery, were travelling by a monastery-owned vehicle to a water well drilling site about one furlong east of the monastery, six so-called PDF terrorists arrived and robbed of the vehicle, it is reported. 

  Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
