Ward Administrator Shot Dead by KNU and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region

     The terrorists, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorists  known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing, and killing loyal government employees who are dutifully performing their duties, monks and innocent local residents.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 12 January 2026 at 5:00 AM, while U Hla Thaung (68 years old), the ward administrator and a resident of Myoma (1) Ward in Pyuntaza Town, Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region, was at his house, four terrorists from the KNU and so-called PDF terrorists arriving by three motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, U Hla Thaung sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to Pyuntaza Station Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
