Political Party Member Shot Dead by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Gyobingauk Township of Bago Region

     The terrorists, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed terrorists known as the so-called PDFs. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 20 January 2026 at 6:15 PM, while U Than Soe (52 years old), a township organizer of the Union Solidarity and Development Party and a resident of Pha Yar Pyo Village in Zegon Township of Bago Region, was attending a wedding ceremony in Kha Nhit Village, Gyobingauk Township, two so-called PDF terrorists, arriving by motorcycle, opened fire on him. As a result, U Than Soe died on the spot, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of political party members by armed terrorists, who intended to instill fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
